Nokta İşitme provides hearing tests, audiometry, hearing aid fitting, programming, maintenance and repair, ear mould production, and tinnitus assessment services across 2 branches in İzmir.
2. Personal Data Processed
Within the scope of our services, the following personal data may be processed:
- Identity data: Name, surname, national ID number (where required for SGK and official procedures), date of birth.
- Contact data: Phone number, e-mail address, postal address.
- Customer transaction data: Appointment records, requests and complaints, service history, invoicing and payment information, device serial numbers and warranty records.
- Health and hearing assessment data: Audiometry results, hearing loss profile, device settings and programming data, ear mould measurements, tinnitus assessment notes, physician/report information (where applicable).
- Transaction security data: IP address, browser information, session logs, website form submissions.
- Visual and audio records: Branch CCTV recordings (where applicable).
- Marketing data: Campaign, information and survey preferences where your explicit consent has been obtained.
3. Method and Legal Basis of Data Collection
Your personal data are collected verbally, in writing or electronically through our branches, telephone, e-mail, the appointment and contact forms on our website, the WhatsApp communication channel, SGK/official institution processes, and supplier and service channels.
Your data are processed on the following legal bases:
- KVKK Art. 5/2-(c): Directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract.
- KVKK Art. 5/2-(ç): Necessary for the data controller to fulfil a legal obligation (tax, accounting, official record obligations, etc.).
- KVKK Art. 5/2-(e): Establishment, exercise or protection of a right.
- KVKK Art. 5/2-(f): Legitimate interests (service quality, customer relations, security), provided that these do not prejudice your fundamental rights and freedoms.
- KVKK Art. 5/1 and Art. 6/2: Cases where your explicit consent has been given (e.g. marketing communications, non-mandatory health data processing).
- KVKK Art. 6/3: Processing of health data for the purposes of medical diagnosis, treatment and care services by authorised healthcare providers or professionals (to the extent applicable).
4. Purposes of Personal Data Processing
Your personal data are processed for the following purposes:
- Providing hearing tests, audiometry and hearing assessment services
- Managing hearing aid sales, fitting, programming, maintenance and repair processes
- Performing ear mould production and device customisation
- Appointment scheduling, reminders and patient follow-up
- Conducting SGK and related official institution processes (reports, provisioning, invoicing, etc.)
- Invoicing, collection and accounting
- Customer satisfaction management, complaint handling and after-sales support
- Ensuring website security and responding to form submissions
- Carrying out marketing and promotional activities where your explicit consent has been given
- Responding to requests from authorised public authorities
5. Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data may be transferred to the following recipient groups, limited to the purposes set out above:
- SGK, the Ministry of Health and other authorised public authorities
- Hearing aid manufacturers, suppliers and authorised service centres (warranty, technical support, spare parts)
- Accounting, legal, IT infrastructure and hosting service providers
- Courier/cargo companies (for device, accessory or mould shipments)
- Payment institutions and banks (for payment transactions)
Where international transfers are involved, the requirements set out in Article 9 of KVKK are observed.
6. Retention Period
Your personal data are retained for the periods prescribed by applicable legislation and for the reasonable period required by the purpose of processing. Service and contract records are generally kept for 10 years; accounting and financial records for at least 5 years as required by legislation; health and audiology records are retained for as long as necessary for the continuity of the service relationship and legal obligations. Data whose retention period has expired are deleted, destroyed or anonymised in accordance with KVKK.
7. Rights of the Data Subject (KVKK Art. 11)
Under Article 11 of KVKK you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data are being processed
- Request information if they have been processed
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether data are used in accordance with that purpose
- Know the third parties to whom data are transferred domestically or abroad
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
- Request deletion or destruction under Art. 7 of KVKK
- Request notification of corrections, deletions or destructions to third parties to whom data have been transferred
- Object to a result arising solely from automated processing that is to your detriment
- Claim compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing

Requests are concluded within 30 days at the latest in accordance with Article 13 of KVKK.
